Occupational Summary
Craven Community College, Workforce Development Program, Havelock Campus, is seeking to hire a part-time instructor to teach AutoCad/AutoDesk Inventor as a custom industry-driven class. Openings for these positions may not exist at the present time; however, upon review of your qualifications, you may be contacted directly by the department on an as needed basis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The AutoCad Instructor is responsible for providing instruction and performing related activities for the Workforce Development Department.
- Develops curriculum
- Selects training materials
- Evaluates student proficiency
- Manages lab and classroom activities that can relate to field work and practical work responsibilities
- Maintains program standards
- Works with Coordinator and/or Program Director on classroom related issues to include inventory, equipment, purchase orders, and daily operational tasks
Minimum Qualifications
Technical expertise or certification/license such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), and AutoDesk Certified.
Must have related professional experience.
Preferred:
Associates Degree.
Previous teaching experience.
Software and product knowledge of Solid Works, AutoDesk, and other similar applications.
Experience with Blueprint reading.
Experience with 3D Printing.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peer, and supervisors and staff
Working knowledge of MS Office products
Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom
Ability to provide classroom and laboratory instruction for AutoCad Basic, Intermediate or Advance, and other similar applications
Ability to prepare lesson plans and schedule classroom/lab activities; develop and prepare supplemental materials to enhance lessons in preparation for training local industry partners
