Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
Practices radiological technology founded upon theoretical knowledge & concepts, uses equipment and accessories consistent with the purpose for which they were designed and employs procedures & techniques appropriately. Must have flexibility to work evening and weekend hours during University of Maryland Football games. Specific duties:
- Perform radiologic exams
- Maintains electronic radiology records and ensures equipment is appropriately maintained
- Assist the Insurance Office with billing issues pertaining to the Radiology Department
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from a radiologic technology program approved by the American Medical Association
Experience:
Two years as a radiographer.

Preferences:
Preferences:
- 5 years of experience performing radiological exams
- Knowledge of radiology standards of practice;
- Knowledge of state and Federal radiology laws & regulations;
- Demonstrated expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to patients, self & other members of the health care team;
- Ability to work in a team setting and manage priorities of multiple internal clients;
- Ability to effectively use strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff;
- Ability to work with a positive attitude;
- Ability to work well in a multitasking environment with frequent interruptions, paying close attention to details;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
Additional Certifications:
Required:
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
Preferred:
CPR/AED certified.
