Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Reports To: Honestly Board of Directors

Department: Executive

Classification (FLSA): Full-time; Exempt

Location: Oklahoma City Metro

Work Environment: Hybrid

  • Orchestrating collaboration with a shared agenda aimed at reducing Oklahoma

County’s teen birth rate by an additional 25% by 2025.

  • Facilitating, supporting, and linking our network of partner experts to maximize

impact.

  • Rallying and mobilizing the community around our mission and the collaborative

efforts.

  • Assessing and disseminating data for strategic learning and more effective

collective impact.

  • Advocating for youth access to resources, services, and medically accurate

sexual health information.

Position Overview

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is tasked with providing strategic leadership to actualize

Honestly's overarching vision and mission. Responsible for propelling Honestly's success

through collaborative and relational leadership, the CEO must cultivate and maintain

strong relationships with donors/funders, staff, partner entities, and influential community

leaders.

Skillset

While the Board shapes Honestly's overarching strategic plan, the CEO collaborates to cocreate

and implement these plans, working with the Chief Administrative Officer and other

staff. The ideal CEO is a visionary thinker with expertise in strategic planning, relationship

building, fundraising, executive-level financial management, and communication,

collaboration, and facilitation skills.

CEO should demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to

manage a multidisciplinary team effectively.

  • Strategy: Proficiency in strategic thinking, adaptability, and managing innovation.
  • Collaboration: Prioritization of relationships and collaboration to foster trust and

drive collective results.

  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of nonprofit financials and budgeting.
  • Decision-making: Superior decision-making skills.
  • Delegation: Effective delegation ability.
  • Communication: Executive-level communication and influencing skills.
  • Inspiration: Ability to inspire stakeholders about the organization's mission and

vision.

  • Ethical Conduct: Commitment to upholding legal and ethical standards in all

actions and decisions.

Essential Functions of the Job

1. Leadership and Oversight (30%)

The CEO collaborates closely with the Chief Administrative Officer to oversee daily

operations and achieve the Board-approved strategic plan. They review

organizational performance, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and

serve as the primary staff liaison with the Board of Directors. The CEO advocates for

staff needs, provides strategic direction for policy implementation, and oversees

hiring and organizational structure.

2. Community Partnerships (30%)

The CEO serves as the primary spokesperson for Honestly and leads programmatic,

evaluation, communication, and advocacy efforts. They cultivate positive

relationships with Collaboration leadership groups, partners, and funders, and

forge strategic partnerships.

3. Development and Fundraising (30%)

The CEO provides strategic oversight for revenue generation, supports fundraising

duties of the Board of Directors, and collaborates with the Development Committee

and Director of Development and Communications to achieve fundraising goals.

4. Fiscal Health (10%)

The CEO provides strategic direction for budgeting, grant management, financial

evaluation, and operational improvements, ensuring Honestly's financial health and

sustainability.

Physical and Travel Requirements

  • Occasional local and out-of-state travel, including evenings and weekends.
  • Occasional lifting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Prolonged standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance Coverage.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 7-10 years' experience in a CEO or c-suite leadership role in a nonprofit.
  • Prior experience and education in public health, prevention, and sexual health.
  • Commitment to equity and authentic community engagement.
  • Experience in collective impact and/or systems change.
  • Demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising and financial management.
  • Experience working with Boards, nonprofit partners, and diverse community

stakeholders.

Salary Range

$95,000 – 145,000
