Position Summary
The Installation Analyst II will provide software configuration, hardware and software troubleshooting, sustainment, system back-ups and restoration, systems administration support and cybersecurity support. System installation support entails assisting in integrating the hardware into assigned space and configuring the system such that it interfaces with peripheral equipment, both from a network standpoint and from an Information Assurance (IA) / Cyber security standpoint. Basic OJT will be provided to the end user consisting of basic hardware operation and maintaining a basic and advanced system Cyber security posture.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare afloat, shore, and submarine installation policy, process, standards, and training documentation
  • Responsible for providing troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CTB C4I systems
  • Provide installation process execution requirements and software specifications to support tool development
  • Capable of loading software onto the workstation and configuring the software to function properly as well as connect to the labs network.
  • Apply regulations and policies affecting the installation of Programs of Record (POR) or non-POR systems (i.e.,Navy Installation Process Handbooks, NAVSEA Technical Specifications, OPNAV instructions, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual, etc.)
  • Provide troubleshooting steps to resolve network problems, hardware and/or software issues, up to replacement/reloading of the affected item or software.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently and provide direct interface with customers.

Experience
  • Qualified Information Systems Technician (IT) with 3+ years' experience and Information Assurance Technical Level 1 (IAT-1) Windows certified for systems administration with experience on C4I networked systems
  • 3+ years in a C5I or C4I-SR military or DoD environment performing system validation and repair.
  • 2-3 years' conducting computer hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Must have experience with test, analysis, and troubleshooting of complex communications hardware problems for development and/or modification to C4I system hardware components.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently and provide direct interface with customers.
  • Familiarity with DCGS-N, GCCS-M, LMMT, JTT, and/or other like TDL C4I-SR systems desired.
  • Experience with Tactical Data Links and military networks a plus.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from recognized University or should have at least 4 years' experience working with complex communications systems and equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment. U.S. Citizenship is required.
