Position Summary
The Coordinator Community Services Dubois is responsible for coordinating the course offerings, activities, and facilities offered in the Dubois service area. 

Examples of Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate credit and non credit course offerings, activities, and facilities for the Dubois service area, including staffing credit courses in cooperation with Dean of appropriate disciplines, ordering textbooks and other materials as necessary, preparation of course schedule, etc. 
  2. Oversee student registration in the Dubois area and assists students with accessing additional student services from the main campus as necessary 
  3. Oversee facilities, including ensuring proper maintenance and cleaning is done to provide facility users with an aesthetically pleasing learning and working environment 
  4. Oversee preparation of employment documents for staff as required, including semester contracts, hiring authorizations, credential packets, employment forms, etc. 
  5. Ensure operations are within budget and processes required forms for payment of invoices, travel reimbursements, etc. 
  6. Maintain a visible and accessible link between Dubois and Riverton communities, including serving as a community liaison and working with a local advisory board, if applicable, and other community organizations 
  7. Work directly and collaboratively with School District #2 to provide adult educational offerings. 
  8. Work with the Dubois Recreational Board to provide administrative services to the Board and youth offerings, particularly a summer youth program to the community. 
  9. Operate within the guidelines set forth in the College’s policies, procedures and practices. 
  10. Perform other reasonably related duties as directed or assigned.

 

Typical Qualifications

Position Specifications and Minimum Qualifications 
Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education. 

Experience 

  • Two (2) years of directly related experience in a higher education learning environment or other related industry 

Licenses/Certifications 

  • Valid Wyoming Driver’s License with a good driving record and be insurable by the College’s insurance carrier. 

Equivalency Statement 

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  1. Ability to work independently and to direct and manage the work of others, ensuring effective and efficient operations. 
  2. Effective presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of word processing, database, and presentation applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Colleague. 
  4. Knowledge of and ability to follow CWC policies, procedures and practices. 
  5. Ability to effectively identify and resolve problems. 
  6. Demonstrated ability to be accountable for decision making and for being dependable and reliable. 
  7. High level of personal integrity and ability to sustain confidentiality 
  8. Ability to relate with a diverse group of people in a professional, helpful manner and to maintain composure when faced with difficult situations 
  9. Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion. 
  10. Ability to work independently with frequent interruptions and with limited supervision. 
  11. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. 
  12. Possesses strong, effective interpersonal skills. 

Level of Supervision 

  • This position operates under the general supervision of the Dean of Students. 

Working Environment

Equipment Used 

  • Standard office equipment including personal computer, calculator, fax machine, ten-key calculator by touch, phone, scanners, copy machine, and telephone. Motor vehicle. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Tasks require variety of physical activities, which do not generally involve muscular strain, such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching and light lifting. Regular talking, hearing and seeing required in the normal course of performing the job. Common eye, hand, finger dexterity required to perform some essential functions. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, discriminating thinking and creative problem solving. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. 

Environmental Conditions 

  • Work is generally performed in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls. Some travel and evening/weekend work is required.
