Software Engineer Intern - Masters
San Diego, CA: This position can be performed fully remote or hybrid out of the SIE-PlayStation San Diego office.
About The Team:
Our team is responsible for managing all Payment Gateways and ensuring we build state-of-the-art systems to interact with Payment Processors. We are constantly working on innovative ideas to make things better. We are building new gateways on the Extensible Payment Gateways platform and also improving operational efficiencies.
What You'll Be Doing:
As an intern, you will get great exposure to finance. We are looking for a tech savvy intern, with a strong ability to code, build microservices using Java and SpringBoot, and exposure to AWS. An intern on the team will be able to build and improve tools for operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science from an accredited institution, with an expected graduation date by Spring 2026.
- Strong Java/Spring Boot experience, AWS exposure a plus
Eligibility:
- Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
- Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
- Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
