Job Description
PROGRAM/PROJECT COORDINATOR, Mathematics, to administer various aspects of pipeline programs offered by the Department of Mathematics to high school students nationwide; coordinate and perform day-to-day operational and administrative activities for programs including administration, finance, information technology, compliance, communications, outreach, and other functions; collaborate with and support faculty members who are leading programs, and officials from partner organizations; manage program budgets; develop, monitor, and reconcile budgets for each program, understanding and securing various levels of approval; and analyze expenditures and/or provide recommendations for adjustments.

Job Requirements:REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of administrative, and/or program management experience; ability to work under limited supervision and execute responsibilities in an accurate, timely, productive, and high-quality manner; ability to prioritize, adapt, and multitask, in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and competing priorities; demonstrated organizational skills and excellent attention to detail; excellent interpersonal skills and respond effectively to all levels and varying personalities; solid verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, the internet, Outlook, Google, Zoom, email/calendaring, reporting and database software; ability to learn new apps and systems. PREFERRED: Master’s degree in a technical field; higher ed professional experience; working knowledge of and experience with MIT systems. Job #24619-6
Work may require moving objects weighing 10 to 20 lbs. and traversing long distances or moving from site to site.
Ability to work a varied hybrid schedule with some evening and weekend hours and on campus during program conferences.
