Job Overview
The Quality Manager will oversee the quality assurance and control processes within the company, specifically focusing on service delivery. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality management system to ensure all services meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. The Quality Manager will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Develop and Implement Quality Systems: Establish and maintain a quality management system (QMS) that complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements for service delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all services meet quality standards before being delivered to the customer.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Compliance and Auditing: Conduct internal audits and manage external audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001-2015).
- Data Analysis: Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement in service delivery.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and processes related to service delivery.
- Customer Interaction: Interface with our internal customers, addressing customer complaints and working with relevant departments to resolve quality issues in service delivery.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain quality documentation and prepare reports for senior management.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's degree in quality management, Engineering, Service Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in quality management or a related field, with a focus on services, two (2) of which have been in a leadership capacity.
- Certification as a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), or an equivalent credential or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- To qualify for the certification, candidates must meet specific experience and educational criteria, including 10 years of on-the-job experience in related fields, with waivers available for certain educational achievements.
- Proficient in quality management methodologies and tools such as Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), Agile Project Management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools like Fishbone Diagram and 5 Whys.
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001-2015.
- Proven track record of leading continuous improvement projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with quality management software and tools.
- Travel CONUS/OCONUS up to 30%.
