Primary Purpose

This is a Full Time Lead position based in San Diego.

Executive Security Specialist III functions in a lead capacity over specialized areas including Operations, Technology, Training,
and Intelligence/Liaison in support to executive protection, secured ground transfers, and site/event executive protection.
Executive Security Specialist III perform executive security protection and other related services to the executive leadership,
members of the Board of Directors, and other designated personnel. Devoting full attention to the security mission and principles
of protection, the Executive Security Specialist III provides the protectee with a safe environment free from both physical harm
and embarrassment. Responsible for the safety and well-being of the protectee in his/her care and must take appropriate action
in the event that the protectee becomes ill/injured and/or confronted by a hostile environment. Receives direct supervision from
International Security & Executive Services Manager. Duties will be performed in both Mexico and the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduling, planning, assignments, and onboarding training within the specialty.
  • Develop and maintain liaison relationships with U.S. and Mexico law enforcement entities and non-governmental organizations.
  • Review, analyze, and disseminate intelligence products/platforms and various media/news sources. Attend briefings and trainings related to matters affecting security and general crime in the northern Mexico region.
  • Meet at protectee's residence, place of employment, or other designated location at the time required each day.
  • Responsible for the safety and security of assigned protectee. This includes preparing safe transportation routes, evaluating the security of the protectee's residence at departure and arrival, completing advances on destination points, and maintaining a presence, when necessary, at special functions or events. Documenting transfer details, and any unusual security incidents.
  • Perform general vehicle maintenance of assigned fleet. Duties will be performed in both Mexico and the United States.
  • Conduct site advances at off-site locations, to include hotels, meetings, restaurants, and special events at both public and private venues.
  • When necessary, complete the necessary documentation such as site security reports and presentations. Duties will be performed in both Mexico and the United States.
  • Travel with protectee throughout the United States, Mexico, and other international locations, including extended days and weekends. Required to be available to his/her protectee until dismissed or as directed by Executive International Security & Executive Services Manager.
  • Attends specialized training in executive protection, defensive & security driving, self-defense, certification in First Aid/CPR/AED (automatic external defibrillator), and first responder medicine (also known as TCCC: tactical combat casualty care).
  • Provide courier services for sensitive and confidential documents or materials for the assigned principal and other executives or departments. Performs other duties as assigned.

Leads activities over the following specializations

Operations Lead:

  • Manages Executive Security Specialist operations and security planning for events domestically including Los Angeles and in Baja, Mexico.
  • Provides direct supervision to Executive Security Specialist personnel and oversees training programs. Works closely with the Intelligence Lead and Technical
  • Lead to ensure successful operations.

Intelligence/Liaison Lead:

  • Coordinates with US and Mexico law enforcement, government, and Sempra intelligence analysts.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and disseminates intelligence products/platforms and various media/news sources.
  • Attends briefings and trainings related to matters affecting security and general crime in the regions affecting events or scheduled executive transfer such as northern Mexico and San Diego region.

Baja Lead:

  • This position will manage Executive Security Specialist operations and events for Baja and work closely with the Operations Lead, Intelligence Lead and Technical Lead to ensure successful operations.

Technical Lead:

  • Manages the various software platforms and tracks, maintains, troubleshoots, and onboards equipment, software, and apps. Ensures all Executive Security Specialist personnel are properly trained in the use of equipment and software. Works closely with the Operations Lead to ensure successful operations.

Training Lead:

  • Manages Executive Security Specialist training requirements and tracking. Develops and delivers training programs to ensure all Executive Security Specialist personnel are up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. Works closely with the Technical Lead to ensure all training materials are current.
