Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Creative Services, the candidate will be a critical member of the Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) Division. The Coordinator of College Graphics (Graphic Designer) works collaboratively with the Department's Director and graphic design team members. The Department is responsible for the creative direction, design, and production of print and digital marketing collateral that promote College admissions and retention initiatives, elevate and maintain the College's brand identity, and meet the communication needs of individual departments and divisions across the College.
The position is based at the Bunker Hill Community College Charlestown Campus with the opportunity for telework as outlined by the College's Telework Policy.
Specific Duties:
Requirements:
- B.A. or B.S. in Graphic Design or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- At least 3 years of professional graphic design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strong print, digital, and multimedia design skills.
- Must possess complete functional knowledge and expertise of industry-standard graphic design software for layout, illustration, and photo manipulation including all Adobe Creative Suite applications, particularly InDesign as well as Illustrator and Photoshop, and a comprehensive understanding of file preparation for various media (print, web, and interactive).
- Must demonstrate superior design capabilities through skillful layout of content, graphic elements and type, and demonstrate advanced proficiency in the creation and use of style sheets.
- Proficiency in creating templates and assets in programs like Canva, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate proficiency in multimedia content creation, including digital assets optimized for web, social media, and video production.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, including project management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple stakeholders, work within budget constraints, interact with vendors, prepare print specifications and review press proofs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to translate stakeholder needs into effective design solutions, communicate proactively, and demonstrate problem solving skill as well as strong collaborative skills with experience working in teams and managing external vendors.
- Proven ability to work with a diverse population, including faculty, staff and students.

Salary Range: $71,658-$75,308. Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education and Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full state Benefits
