The Department of Business, Aviation & Construction Professions at Dutchess Community College invites applications for a temporary full-time faculty position in Business Applications. This position has an expected start date in August 2025.

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Teaching undergraduate classes in Business;
• Preparation and management of classroom experiences and assessments to develop successful learning outcomes;
• Assisting students in achieving academic success; and
• Participation in college activities, including membership on shared governance committees.

Job Requirements:
Required qualifications:

• MBA or earned master's degree in a closely-related field;
• Proficiency in basic office software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workplace applications, and other relevant business software;
• Experience instructing Microsoft Office programming and Google Workplace applications;
• Experience utilizing simulations, online adaptations, and instructional technology in the classroom;
• A willingness to research and adopt new and emerging technologies; and
• An appreciation for diversity of all types and how diversity impacts learning and instruction.

Preferred qualifications:

• College-level teaching experience;
• Work experience in a business field, ideally at management level;
• The ability to teach a variety of courses in our Business Management and Business Administration programs;
• Demonstrated competencies in a variety of teaching methodologies and/or pedagogical approaches that reach a broad range of learners;
• Experience teaching community college students; and An understanding and appreciation of the role of the community college in higher education.

Additional Information:
The Temporary Full time Faculty - Business position is subject to renewal each academic year.

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY

Class: DUE / Faculty

Salary: $63,616 - $82,712
